A little celebratory butt slap between athletes isn’t all that uncommon, whether it’s after a big play or just a job well done. But Travis Kelce might not be used to it happening so unexpectedly… or onTV.
During an episode of Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?, Kelce was left completely stunned when Ryan Fitzpatrick took things a little too far, delivering a very hard slap to his backside after a contestant answered correctly. Judging by Kelce’s reaction, he definitely wasn’t expecting that kind of celebration.
Kelce had an awkward moment
Honestly, Travis kept it pretty cool after the whole thing, casually mentioning that the unexpected moment definitely got him wide awake and electrified-not exactly because the contestant nailed the answer.
Fitzpatrick did apologize, but you could tell Travis was still a little shaken by Ryan’s over-the-top enthusiasm when he got up close. But after Travis’s reaction, it all turned into just a hilarious moment between the two of them.
Could entertainment be calling more than football for Kelce?
Chiefs fans definitely breathed a sigh of relief seeing Travis looking so much more relaxed after those tough weeks following the Super Bowl loss. He was definitely in much better spirits, with a brighter smile on his face.
Even though the retirement questions are still up in the air with no clear answer, it’s looking like Kelce will be back next season, teaming up with Patrick Mahomes again, and hopefully making another run to the top. Fans are eagerly waiting for some good news, but seeing him having so much fun on TV raises an interesting question-has Kelce started leaning more into the entertainment world than his football career?
