It is of common knowledge that after you retire from elite sports, it is a bit tricky to get back to a normal life where you change the luxury habits for some more normal activities. Soemthing like this happens to Jason Kelce after he left the NFL.

In the New Heights podcast, the old Philadelphia Eagles center and his brother, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, made jokes about Jason’s life now… and his fight with some household chores.

The technique to start doing them

The chat got a really funny turn when Travis said Jason’s wife, Kylie, should use a whistle to keep him doing his tasks.

“I’m going to get Kylie a whistle,”Travis joked. “Everyone knows that a whistle in a house is an alarming presence.“

Jason did not fight the idea and even more, he loved it.

“Not gonna lie, I kinda like this idea,” he shared, saying that he often skips household tasks like taking out the trash and likes to be reminded.

From passing footballs to pass on taking out the trash

Now enjoying his retirement, Jason does not hide and openly talks about moving to home life after his NFL days. He once led offensive lines in games, now he needs a little push to do everyday tasks, but he shares these mini “red flags” with a smile and his characteristic humor.

“I like the nagging,” Jason said. “I just get caught up in thought, and I need the reminder.”

Him admitting this show the fun side of moving on after a sports career, and how even tough football players find new ways to fit into a team… which is literally his home-team.

Banter between brothers

Their ‘New Heights’ podcast is liked for the real brother feeling they give when they are together. With stories and situations like this one, the Kelce’s have pulled in fans by mixing sport talks with a more touching life bits that has caught fans’ hearts since the release of the podcast.

While Travis keeps performing pretty well on the field, but also under the spotlight he absolutely loves making fun of his big brother everytime he can.

Yet, besides the fun, there is something true between these two: a family bond that goes beyond the game field, and a known fact that each new life part needs some team work (and maybe a whistle too).
