The season has been full of contrasts for Travis Kelce. While the Kansas City Chiefs experienced a forgettable season, the star tight end can celebrate several off-field successes. The latest was a Christmas effort that brought happiness to hundreds of fans.
2025 was full of sporting disappointments for Kelce, from the Chiefs’ loss in Super Bowl LIX to their early elimination from the playoffs.
In contrast, on a personal level, the Chiefs star has gone from one success to another: his film debut in “Happy Gilmore 2,” his engagement to singer Taylor Swift, and his nomination for the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award.
Kelce was the Chiefs’ WPMOY winner, and the recent success of Operation Breakthrough made him a top contender for the league’s Walter Payton Award.
Travis Kelce and Operation Breakthrough
In an Instagram story, the charity Operation Breakthrough thanked Travis and Jason Kelce for their support of an initiative that benefited thousands of families in Kansas City.
“This holiday season, over 3,000 @operationbreakthrough families in Kansas City were provided with gifts and essential needs from @newheightsshow x @amazon,” the organization stated.
The nonprofit explained that they worked with the Kelces to collect the gifts, many of which were purchased by New Heights fans through an Amazon gift list.
Kelce is a major supporter of charitable causes
Through his foundation, Eighty-Seven & Running, the Chiefs star organizes and supports charitable causes in both Kansas City and his native Ohio.
If he wins the WPMOY award, Kelce could do even more good thanks to a $35,000 donation that the league would make in his name to Operation Breakthrough or the charity of his choice.
