Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes motivate their teammates with $1 million in gifts and promise even bigger rewards if they win the Super Bowl

As the Kansas City Chiefs prepare for the 2025/26 NFL season, Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes are attempting to give the team a huge boost before they hit the field to compete for a spot in the Super Bowl.

The star players have taken an unprecedented step to energize their teammates by splashing out on an estimated $1 million in high-end gifts, with the promise of even greater rewards should the team secure another championship.

The initiative reflects both players’ intent to maximize what could be a defining season, especially for the 35-year-old tight end who could be heading to retirement by the time he concludes the upcoming campaign.

According to a source close to the team, the gifts are designed not only to boost morale but also to signal how high the stakes are heading into the new season as the side looks to avenge their Super Bowl LIX loss.

“They know there’s a strong possibility this could be Travis‘s final season, that’s why they are going big now,” the source told The Sun, with each player reportedly received a gift package valued at $17,000.

It includes luxury items ranging from Rolex watches to exclusive Louis Vuitton goods and fine Italian wine and offers the rookies from the 2025 NFL Draft a taste of what could be to come if they become champions.

Also among the items distributed were 40 Rolex Air-King watches totalling $310,000, whilst another 40 Rolex Explorer models were purchased for $318,000.

The two key players also spent $280,000 on Louis Vuitton backpacks and $96,000 on designer pocket bags, along with $272,000 worth of luxury luggage.

“Travis and Patrick are happy to give them these presents to show how much they care. They want to show them some serious love before the season starts,” the insider added, ahead of the Week 1 clash with the Los Angeles Chargers.

The Chiefs‘ leadership tandem is not stopping at luxury goods. Should Kansas City win its fourth Super Bowl in five seasons, Kelce and Mahomes are reportedly organizing an all-expenses-paid team trip to Europe, with party locations such as Ibiza and Sardinia under consideration.

“It’s a great incentive for the team,” the source continued. “They know they want to bounce back after failing to win the title last season.”

Steve Spagnuolo opens up on Antonio Pierce relationship as ex-Raider visits Chiefs

Meanwhile, Kansas City continues to draw attention at training camp, not just for its internal dynamics but also for external guests as Steve Spagnuolo recently welcomed the ex-Las Vegas Raiders head coach, Antonio Pierce, to camp at Missouri Western State University.

The defensive coordinator opened up on his connection with Pierce, who became the Las Vegas’ permanent head coach in the 2023/24 season, before being let go following a 4-13 season in 2024/25.

“I’m glad he came through,” Spagnuolo added. “He’s given him feedback from a player’s standpoint, coaches’ standpoint, head coach’s standpoint, and maybe we’ll ask him about some Las Vegas Raiders stuff.”
