Travis Hunter tries to do business with Kai Cenat when he sees that they want to take advantage of him

Travis Hunter‘s visit to Kai Cenat‘s house turned into more than just a casual hangout when the Jacksonville Jaguars star decided to hand out some business lessons to the streaming sensation.

During a live stream captured and shared by SportsCenter, Cenat and his fellow streamers took the opportunity to ask for free NFL tickets from the wide receiver, who can also double up as a cornerback on defense.

With Hunter seated in their luxury rental, the 23-year-old Kai didn’t hesitate to try to snag some freebies from the 2025 NFL Draft overall second pick, and rushed into his request.

“Let me ask him real quick,” Cenat said. “I’m gonna go ahead and act out the gate. Free tickets this season. Free tickets this season. How we looking, my boy?”

Hunter’s reaction was immediate and pointed. Glancing around, he challenged the group with a grin and responded in a witty way that caught the rest of the room firmly off guard.

“Y’all in Tony Parker’s house? Y’all talking about free tickets? Alright, I’m selling them for $100,” Travis responded, before later saying he’d help sort Cenat out, who is the second most-followed Twitch streamer behind Ninja.

Hunter‘s exchange with Cenat did more than make viral rounds – it revealed the mindset of a young athlete already aware of the business pressures that come with NFL stardom.

As the man expected to lead the Jaguars’ offense into a new era at the EverBank Stadium, expectations are high and that includes managing not just the demands of dual positions, but the public-facing side of being a professional.

What might have seemed like a joking moment between friends may have actually been a moment of assertive boundary-setting as he looks to understand the value of access – even when it comes to fellow content creators.

He also displayed a quiet humility throughout the visit. At one point, when offered a seat among the group, Hunter chose to kneel rather than displace anyone. The gesture, subtle but meaningful, contrasted with the way some might assume a high draft pick would carry himself in celebrity circles.

His approach to the stream, light-hearted, yet firm, reflects a growing awareness among younger athletes raised through the NCAA‘s NIL system: Fame brings expectations, but also demands self-respect.

Trevor Lawrence signs Travis Hunter his praises

Hunter is already impressing where it matters most – inside the Jaguars facility as the team’s star quarterback, Trevor Lawrence, recently offered high praise for the rookie’s early showing in training camp.

That comes in the wake of a particularly tough learning curve as Hunter’s rare versatility means he’s expected to contribute at both cornerback and wide receiver – a workload few in the league even attempt.

“Travis has been great,” Lawrence said. “Just his work ethic, how he’s come in. He’s been one of the hardest-working guys we have.

“I think it’s [his] commitment to learning the playbook and trying to learn the two systems.”
