Travis Hunter reportedly skips prenup as he gifts wife $200k car after wedding

Travis Hunter, the Jacksonville Jaguars‘ highly touted rookie and No. 2 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, is making headlines once again-this time for a major personal decision.

The former Colorado Buffaloes star recently married his longtime partner Leanna Lenee, but reports now indicate that Hunter did not have his new wife sign a prenuptial agreement.

The news surfaced on the Pivot Podcast, where former NFL linebacker Channing Crowder revealed what he’s heard about Hunter‘s wedding arrangements.

According to Crowder, Hunter – who signed a rookie deal reportedly worth nearly $50 million over four years – chose not to establish legal financial boundaries before tying the knot.

“Information I’ve gained and the pictures I’ve seen, and I respect Travis all too much, when you say that you’re about to say something mean about somebody. I heard there was no prenup, I don’t like that, this man’s about to be an MVP type candidate,” Crowder said on the show.

Criticism resurfaces from earlier controversies

Hunter, who is expected to contribute as both a cornerback and wide receiver for Jacksonville, has already faced public scrutiny over his relationship. During the 2024 college football season, Leanna Lenee received backlash for her behavior at the Heisman Trophy ceremony. Hunter, however, publicly supported her throughout the criticism.

Crowder alluded to some of the history between the couple, referencing early stories that allegedly involved Lenee mocking Hunter‘s appearance.

“I think he’ll be an All-Pro Corner, I think he’ll be a very good Receiver. We’ve heard the stories of the past, how when they were getting together how she called the man ugly. I don’t like all that. I don’t like those stories. I don’t like those things coming out about a young man I respect,” he added.

Despite the concerns raised by observers, Hunter appears content in his personal life. As a wedding gift, he reportedly gave Lenee a $200,000 luxury car, underscoring his devotion to her as he embarks on his professional football journey.

Still, his decision not to pursue a prenuptial agreement has sparked conversation around financial planning and long-term stability for young athletes entering the spotlight.

Whether that decision proves wise or risky remains to be seen, but for now, Hunter is focused on starting both his NFL career and married life on a strong note.
