Travis Hunter and the Jacksonville Jaguars could be one of the most exciting and fun teams to watch during the 2025 regular season.

The sensational player, who’s already a early Offensive Rookie of the Year candidate, has shown his determination to play on both sides of the ball during training camp practices.

Even though the predictions are not great for the Florida franchise – Grok predicts that they will finish the season with a 8-9 record, not good enough to get to the playoffs but much better than the 4-13 record they had in 2024 -, something is for sure: the fans will pay close attention to Hunter‘s development in the league.

Travis Hunter hurts his hands

Travis Hunter is going all out to prove he’s ready to dominate in the NFL. After a training camp practice with the Jacksonville Jaguars, he hit the gym for an intense catching drill designed to test his hands and coordination, something he will have to be great at in the league.

In his latest YouTube video, the Heisman Trophy winner is seen gripping footballs in rapid succession under the watchful eye of his trainer. The challenge pushed his limits, and his hands took the punishment from the high-intensity routine.

After finishing the drill, Hunter laughed in pain, admitting he’d never tried anything like it before. Despite the sting, the No. 2 overall pick is showing the explosiveness, determination, and star potential to become one of the NFL’s future faces.

Travis has a great spot at the unofficial depth chart

Travis Hunter is among the starting receivers, according to the Jacksonville Jaguars‘ unofficial depth chart, which was released by the team Monday in advance of Saturday’s 2025 preseason opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers at EverBank Stadium.

Hunter is listed as a starting wide receiver along with veterans Brian Thomas Jr. and Dyami Brown. Travis is listed as a reserve cornerback, with the backup position behind Tyson Campbell (fifth season) listed as Hunter or second-year veteran Jarrian Jones.

Running back is listed as third-year veteran Tank Bigsby or fifth-year veteran Travis Etienne Jr., with the tight-end position opposite starter and third-year veteran Brenton Strange listed as Hunter Long (fifth season) or Johnny Mundt (eighth season).
