Travis Hunter, an early contender for the Offensive Rookie of the Year, continues to show off his talent in the NFL.
The sensational Jacksonville Jaguars dual threat as a cornerback and wide receiver has infected the team with his joy for the game and his quest for greatness.
The Jags are expecting the No. 2 pick overall in the 2025 NFL Draft to play significant minutes on both sides of the ball, as the former Heisman Trophy winner develops into one of the most exciting players in the league that can be key part of a playoff team.
Travis Hunter gets pushed hard
During the Jacksonville Jaguars‘ 2025 Stadium Scrimmage at EverBank Stadium, rookie sensation Travis Hunter experienced the kind of physicality the league is known for. He had already caught three passes for 43 yards when a moment off the stat sheet grabbed all the attention.
After catching a short pass from Trevor Lawrence and heading out of bounds, Hunter’s teammate gave him a powerful shove. Cameras captured him flying out of bounds, then laughing it off as he picked himself up. The clip highlights just how different the NFL game can be.
Despite the hard hit, Hunter smiled and took it as a learning moment. With his two-way role and expectations sky-high, the young star knows these hits are just part of life in the league. And he looks ready to handle every one of them if he wants to make a deep impact with his team.
Travis and Trevor will be a huge deal in Jacksonville
Travis Hunter has been spectular the offensive side of the ball during training camp, as the athletic wideout has catched everything thrown his way. And where does those throws come from? None other than former college standout Trevor Lawrence.
The player enters his fifth NFL training camp to prepare for his fifth season as the Jaguars‘ starting quarterback. It’s his first season as a father, and his first under head coach Liam Coen. This is an important time for Lawrence, who speaks as positively of his health as he does his new surroundings.
Lawrence, who underwent season-ending surgery on his left – non-throwing shoulder – in December, understands that the franchise is counting on him to take them to new heights and get them the much desired first trip to the Super Bowl.
