Travis Hunter is ready to take the NFL by storm, as he former Heisman Trophy winner promises to be one of the most exciting rookies in the league.
The fenomenal athlete – who plays wide receiver and cornerback – has made it clear that he’s ready to get on the field and be the best player he can be, in order to exceed all the expectations.
Those expectations include helping the Jacksonville Jaguars reach the Super Bowl, something the 30-years-old organization has never done before, joining the Detroit Lions, the Cleveland Browns, and the Houston Texans. It’s an extremely hard challenge, but we have to remember that Hunter is a special, generational talent.
Hunter gets his first TD pass from Lawrence
The NFL Instagram profile posted a video of what might be a recurrent thing during the regular season: superstar quarterback Trevor Lawrence throwing a beautiful pass that Travis Hunter catches and takes it to the end zone for a great touchdown.
The former No. 1 pick in the 2021 Draft, Lawrence has been a team captain since his rookie year, in 2021. The former Clemson Tiger superstar has recorded 69 touchdowns, passed for 13,774 yards with 45 interceptions. He has also rushed for 1,077 yards for 14 touchdowns.
It’s safe to say that Hunter got a stud at quarterback. “I think I’m going to be able to play even faster and get through progressions and feel confident and trust that,” Trevor told the media about the way he has worked this offseason to improve his foot work.
Jaguars believe Travis Hunter is a rare player
The Jacksonville Jaguars are ready to work in order to improve their 2024 regular season record, which was an awful 4-13 good enough for a third place on the AFC South, only better than the 3-14 recorded by the Tennessee Titans. In order to do so, they expect Travis Hunter to be ready since week 1.
“Travis Hunter is a rare player, rare person,” first year general manager James Gladstone said about the former Colorado Buffaloes superstar. “That combination in some way, shape or form makes it fairly easy,” said the young leader about his decision to trade for the No. 2 pick with the Cleveland Browns, in order to draft Travis.
What does Hunter think about the bold move that happened at the 2025 NFL Draft? “It was a great choice. I’ve just got to come and do my job. My job is to come out and be Travis Hunter — come out and play how they envision me to play and exceed all the expectations.”
