Travis and Jason Kelce round off golf weekend with late-night trip to casino

Travis and Jason Kelce were seen leaving Harrah’s Lake Tahoe casino shortly before 2 a.m. on July 13, concluding what appeared to be a lengthy gambling session following a highly publicized weekend at the 2025 American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament.

The pair of Super Bowl champions known as much for their athletic dominance as their off-field charisma, kept a low profile during their casino exit as Travis was spotted wearing a plain black t-shirt and checking his phone, while Jason sported a casual look in shorts.

The photos came hours after the NFL personalities had turned heads on the golf course thanks to their boozy wager during a celebrity tournament, as each time one of them three-putted, they had to shotgun a beer. The result? Frequent toasts and viral moments.

Travis, who plays for the Kansas City Chiefs, ultimately placed 62nd in the tournament, with Jason, formerly of the Philadelphia Eagles, coming in at 83rd out of 90 competitors. They were joined by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback, Baker Mayfield, who laughed after spitting up mid-chug too.

Adding to the spectacle, the Kelce brothers took to the karaoke stage the night before, giving a memorable performance of Bob Seger‘s Old Time Rock and Roll as video clips captured them dancing, hip-thrusting, and belting out lyrics in a moment of pure entertainment.

However, perhaps the most surreal moment of the tournament occurred during the opening round, when a black bear wandered near the 16th tee where the Kelce brothers were preparing to hit.

Though the animal remained behind a fence, play was paused while both players and spectators kept a wary eye on the unexpected visitor, which occurred shortly after another black bear had to be euthanised for attacking a sleeping camper at South Lake Tahoe.

Deadline beckons for Chiefs to lock down Kelce teammate

Meanwhile, back in Kansas City, time is running short for Travis Kelce‘s team to lock in one of their key offensive linemen as the Chiefs face a Tuesday 16:00 ET deadline to negotiate a long-term deal with their franchise-tagged guard, Trey Smith.

If an agreement isn’t reached, Smith will play the upcoming season under the franchise tag at $23.4 million, which would put him at the fourth-highest salary on the team, behind Patrick Mahomes, Jawaan Taylor, and Chris Jones.

Should the team resort to tagging him again next year, the price could jump to $28 million. Otherwise, the durable and highly effective guard could hit free agency in 2026, where he’s likely to draw major interest from across the league.

The Chiefs will hope to have Smith’s future resolved before they take on the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 1 of the 2025/26 NFL season in September, heading to Brazil as part of the league’s plans to grow the sport around the world.
