Toronto Argonauts want Shilo and Shedeur in the CFL, hold exclusive negotiating rights to the Sanders brothers

The Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League are dreaming of getting a chance to sign Shilo Sanders and his brother, Shedeur.

Shilo was waived by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after being signed as an UDFA. One huge mistake – throwing a punch at Buffalo tight end Zach Davidson – may have cost him his shot at an NFL career.

What does it mean that the Argonauts claimed negotiating rights to Shilo?

The Toronto team quickly added Shilo to their negotiation list after the Bucs cut him from the main roster.

With this move, the Argonauts now hold the exclusive CFL rights to both Shilo and Shedeur Sanders. The Argos added Shedeur to their negotiation list on April 28, right after he was drafted by the Browns with the 144th overall pick.

Being placed on a CFL team’s negotiation list does not mean the player has expressed interest in signing with the franchise, and many players are not even aware they’ve been added.

Deion Sanders doesn’t see the CFL in a bad light

Coach Prime has been supportive of his former Colorado players in the CFL and was recently spotted wearing a Calgary Stampeders hat at practice in support of his ex-punter, Mark Vassett.

If either of Deion Sanders’ sons chooses to continue their career in the Canadian League, Toronto will be their only option for as long as they remain on the negotiation list.
