Tom Brady may have retired from football, but family milestones keep reminding him that time doesn’t slow down. His eldest son, Jack, turned 18 this week, and the quarterback used Instagram to celebrate the occasion with a message full of pride, humor, and nostalgia.
The post included photos of Jack across the years – from his early childhood to his teenage years – showing just how fast the journey has gone. “From little steps to big dreams, happy birthday Jack,”Brady wrote. “You’ve always shown grace, courage, love and kindness since God blessed us with your arrival. I’m so proud of the man you are!”
He couldn’t resist adding a fatherly joke about adulthood:“It comes with higher credit card limits, bigger bills, and no curfew… OK maybe not all at once!”
A Father and His Firstborn
Jack, whose full name is John Edward Thomas Moynahan, was born in 2007 during Brady’s relationship with actress Bridget Moynahan. The two split before his birth, but they have maintained a strong co-parenting relationship over the years.
Brady later married Gisele Bündchen in 2009, with whom he had two more children: Benjamin, born in December that year, and Vivian, born in 2012. Despite their divorce in 2022, both Brady and Bündchen have emphasized the importance of keeping family unity.
Brady’s Instagram message also included a more emotional reflection: “There is a saying that a dad’s heart soars with his children’s happiness, not with his own… truer words could not be spoken.”
While his playing days are over, Brady continues to shape a new chapter. He is preparing for his role as Fox’s lead NFL analyst and has already invested as a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders.
On the field, Brady built an unmatched career: seven Super Bowls, three league MVP awards, and records for passing yards, completions, and touchdowns. Off the field, however, it is moments like Jack’s birthday that show a different side of the GOAT – that of a father proud to see his son take his first steps into adulthood.
