Tom Brady warns Chiefs of Super Bowl distractions as Jason Kelce confirms huge family presence in New Orleans

With Super Bowl LIX fast approaching, the Kansas City Chiefs are preparing for more than just their showdown with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Off the field, the frenzy surrounding tickets, media obligations, and family demands threatens to become a major distraction-something Tom Brady knows all too well.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion recently shared his experiences of dealing with Super Bowl ticket chaos during an episode of his Let’s Go Podcast. Reflecting on his decade-spanning career, Brady revealed just how out of control ticket requests became.

“I needed 92 tickets. It was like, how did I get to 92 tickets?” Brady recalled. “The first one I played was in New Orleans…

“You’re there to get six or eight tickets. Your family, immediate family, and that was it. Maybe your college roommate. And then by the 10th Super Bowl, that bandwagon was so full.”

Brady‘s warning to the Chiefs was clear – be prepared for the distractions.

“The problem is no one ever gets off the bandwagon,” he added, emphasizing how demand for tickets and outside attention only grows with continued success.

With Kansas City making its fourth Super Bowl appearance in five years, the team will need to manage more than just the Eagles’ defense.

Kelce Family Takes Over New Orleans

While Travis Kelce prepares for the game, his older brother Jason Kelce is leading an all-out family invasion of New Orleans.

The recently retired Eagles center-known for his rowdy personality and love for celebrations-confirmed that the Kelce family will be in full force, including Taylor Swift.

“Yeah, I think everybody’s coming in,” Jason told People. “Trav always travels, like, full. Even when he’s in regular season mode… he’s always got a bunch of his friends there. It’s been this way his whole career.”

With Swift, A-list celebrities like Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, and an entourage that could fill an entire stadium section, the Kelces are turning the Super Bowl into an event beyond football.

Despite his retirement, Jason Kelce finds himself in a tough spot emotionally. Having spent 13 seasons with the Eagles, he remains deeply connected to Philadelphia’s fanbase and organization.

On his New Heights Podcast, he acknowledged the challenge of supporting Travis while still feeling tied to his former team.

“Obviously, you’re my brother, I’ll always root for my brother,” Jason said. “But there’s a lot of people in the Philadelphia organization… that feel like extended family to me.”

Travis jokingly suggested that Jason wear a split jersey, much like their mom Donna Kelce did in last year’s Super Bowl.

“We need to get you a mom jacket,” Travis teased.

But Jason immediately shut down the idea: “I can’t wear red. I can’t bring myself to it.”

His wife, Kylie Kelce, echoed the sentiment, making it clear that her loyalty remains with Philadelphia: “I love Travis, but I was raised to bleed green.”

Even their daughters will be showing some family love, wearing special “Uncle Trav” shirts in support.

Can the Chiefs Handle the Pressure?

The Super Bowl is more than just a game-it’s a global spectacle. With 116.8 million viewers expected to tune in, the stakes are massive.

FOX Sports is pulling out all the stops, featuring Kevin Burkhardt, Erin Andrews, Tom Brady, and more for coverage.

For the Chiefs, this game represents a chance to make history as the first team ever to win three straight Super Bowls. But with all the outside distractions-ticket demands, media buzz, and celebrity entourages-Kansas City must remain focused.

As Brady emphasized, staying locked in is crucial, because even the best teams can fall victim to everything but the game itself.

One way or another, Super Bowl LIX will end with one Kelce celebrating-the only question is whether Jason will be toasting a victory beer or drowning his sorrows in one.
