Tom Brady is still missed by many NFL fans who hope to see the greatest quarterback of all time one more time in the football field, even though he won it all in football.
The sixth round pick (199th overall) in the 2000 NFL Draft went on to become the most accomplished player in NFL history, winning seven Super Bowls, six of them with the New England Patriots and one with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The former Michigan Wolverines star will be a no-doubt, first-ballot Hall of Famer when he’s eligible in 2028. Love him or hate him, Brady set the standard for what a franchise quarterback is, and his accomplishments on the field will be very hard to match.
Brady reveals the only reason he would come out of retirement
In a jaw-dropping podcast moment, Tom Brady told LeBron James (and thousand of people) the one reason he’d ever unretire. After 23 seasons, two retirements, and countless accolades, fans didn’t expect to hear this from the GOAT of football.
While speaking during a Fanatics Fest event alongside James and San Antonio Spurs superstar Victor Wembanyama, Brady talked about what kept him motivated and at the top of his game during his career.
LeBron was so inspired by Tom’s words that he stated that Brady was ready to put on a helmet again, “I’m ready to go in the huddle, I’m ready to get in the huddle with Tom right now!” James added. The legendary quarterback didn’t backed down, as he said “If you come play, I’ll come out of retirement,.
That scenario, he says, might be enough to dust off the cleats, sending fans into full speculation mode once again. Brady officially retired “for good” on February 1, 2023, closing the most successful career in NFL history. But this moment proves what many suspected, if the perfect call comes, the GOAT might not be done after all.
Brady wants to inspire the Raiders to a winning mentality
Tom Brady‘s new role as a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders means a new challenge for the quarterback with the most Super Bowl rings in NFL history: taking a franchise that has a loyal fanbase to a winning mentality that can translate into a championship in the next couple of years.
Brady has not gotten into specifics on what his daily role looks like but was more than happy to describe how his first offseason with the Raiders looked and felt like to him. “I’ve loved it,” he said. “And, again, just trying to contribute in the ways that I can to help the team be the best they can be, on and off the field.”
Under new head coach Pete Carroll and general manager John Spytek, the Las Vegas Raiders are looking to rebound from a 4-13 season and return to the playoffs for the third time since 2002, the second time since 2016, the first time since 2021. And with Brady settling into his role of “sounding board,” there is a different vibe all around.
