After his retirement and successful stints with the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tom Brady became a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders and is going into his second year as an analyst for FOX Sport.
In this job, where he highlights the high and low points of each team, players and games, he has started to overlook a team that was one of the five favorites before the new NFL season: Kansas City Chiefs.
Kansas City’s bad streak
The truth is that the team led by Andy Reid is not going through its best year, or at least they have not started it in a good way. After losing to the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl Final, during the regular season they had to wait until the third game to reach a victory, starting with 0-2.
They lost to the Los Angeles Chargers by 33-16 and to the Chicago Bears by 29-27 before beating the New York Giants by 9-22. However, the team had not had a shaky start since 2014. This has resulted in Chiefs not even appearing or remaining in the top 10 of the list shared by seven-time champion Tom Brady.
In the rankings detailed by TB12, undefeated teams stand out first. Eagles ranked first, followed by Buffalo Bills and Chargers. Behind them are the Buccaneers and 49ers.
Rounding out the top 10 are Indianapolis Colts, Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, Washington Commanders and in tenth place, the LA Rams.
Brady did not name the Chiefs because they have not been able to reach their full potential this early in the season.
With problems on defense, the limited offense left by Rashee Rice‘s suspension and Xavier Worthy‘s injury and the breakdown between Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes’ passing game, the team shows an internal crisis that was exposed after the altercation between the TE and Reid.
Now, Kansas City is preparing for their next home game against Lamar Jackson’s Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, September 28 at Arrowhead Stadium. The Chiefs will then face Jaguars, Lions and Las Vegas Raiders in Weeks 5-8. Can they improve their performance and return to the Top 10?
