Tom Brady is already searching for his new head coach for the Las Vegas Raiders

Tom Brady‘s influence on the Las Vegas Raiders is becoming impossible to ignore. Since being approved as a minority owner, Brady‘s influence has woven itself into the franchise’s most consequential decisions, and this offseason could be his most impactful yet.

The seventime Super Bowl champion is now one of the most visible figures in football media and part of the ownership landscape within the NFL.

But as the Las Vegas Raiders prepare for a crucial offseason, league sources say Brady‘s influence may extend to two major coaching decisions that could alter the direction of a franchise desperate for stability and success.

Brady, who retired after the 2022 season, holds a minority ownership stake in the Raiders and is under a lucrative broadcasting contract with Fox Sports.

In recent months, he has become a central voice in discussions about the Silver and Black‘s next head coach and offensive leadership.

The Raiders‘ 2025 season ended in dismal fashion, and head coach Pete Carroll‘s tenure appears likely to be shortlived.

According to multiple reports, Carroll, who was brought in to stabilize the team, is expected to part ways with the franchise after just one season, a move that opens the door for a sweeping staff overhaul.

A new era? Flores and Daboll in the mix

At the center of recent chatter is a highly intriguing potential pairing: former Minnesota Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores as head coach and exNew York Giants head coach Brian Daboll as offensive coordinator.

Both names have surfaced repeatedly in reports tied to Brady‘s preferences for the Raiders‘ next staff.

Flores, who has climbed back into head coaching consideration after a strong run leading the Vikings‘ defense, has long been respected for his strategic acumen.

Daboll, despite his recent firing with the Giants, brings a résumé that includes experience running NFL offenses and years coaching under the New England Patriots‘ system, a shared link with Brady dating back to his playing days.

“Flores would be the head coach, and former Giants coach Brian Daboll would be the offensive coordinator,” reported Mike Florio of NBC Sports‘ Pro Football Talk, noting both coaches’ extensive experience with the Patriots‘ “Patriot Way.”

Competition arises for targets

Both Flores and Daboll have options elsewhere, so Las Vegas would need to act swiftly once the coaching cycle opens fully.

Some league commentators have noted that Brady‘s influence goes beyond mere matchmaking; his strategic perspective and connections across the league make him a unique asset for the Raiders‘ leadership team.

Yet Brady also faces scrutiny over potential conflicts. Because he is still active on Fox‘s NFL broadcast team, his participation in coaching interviews has drawn commentary about how to manage overlapping roles during highstakes moments like the playoffs and the coaching carousel.

In past comments about the Raiders‘ coaching search, he described the process as collaborative, noting that he’s “one voice” among many as Las Vegas charts its path forward.
