Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo, who’s better? This debate has been going on for years, with fans from both superstars getting into heated arguments about the reasons why their favorite player is the best.

The legendary Argentine forward has won 46 trophies in his 21 seasons as a professional, a figure that places him as the most successful player in history. The most important one? The 2022 World Cup, when Messi beat France.

Meanwhile, the Portuguese iconic striker has won 5 Ballon d’Or awards, 5 Champions League titles, 2 La Liga titles, and 3 UEFA European Championships. He also holds records for most international wins (132) and leading scorer in EURO history.

Brady chooses between Messi and Cristiano

Tom Brady, the greatest quarterback of all time, was asked about who does he think is better: Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo. The seven-time Super Bowl champion, known for being politicallly correct and for being very careful with his words, gave his thoughts on it on the latest episode of the “Impaulsive” podcast, hosted by Logan Paul.

“God, that’s hard, that’s hard. I’m not even gonna answer that question. I like them both too much,” Brady said. Then he was asked about who does he think is the GOAT of basketball, Michael Jordan or LeBron James. “I like them both too much,” Tom replied. He did answered who does he think its the best F1 driver. “Lewis (Hamilton).” He added that the Hulk Hogan is the greatest wrestler ever.

Brady went on to say that Tiger Woods is the greatest golfer ever. “It’s just interesting because it’s a ridiculous debate and I see it on sports all the time, and it’s like everyone’s just blah blah blah. Like one year there were greatness defined over what, you know, over a career,”.

The difference between greatest and best

Being considered the greatest quarterback of all time, Tom Brady was asked to define the difference between greatest and best player ever, at any sport. “I just think it’s like how often can you be great? How often? Consistency, because everyone can do great things, but if you’re a golfer and you make a birdie and then a bogey, and then a birdie, and so on, at the end of the day you shoot par and you’re average.”

“We all make bogeys, the question is how many birdies can you make? And in football, I would say I threw 700 passes a year. In my mind, I threw about 10 to 20 of those perfectly, out of 700. So 680 times was imperfect. Now, you might not know where I was trying to throw the ball. You may think that I threw a perfect pass. In my mind, I had a vision for that pass that was different than what happened,” Braddy added.

The Las Vegas Raiders minority owner stated that his view of greatness is how often can the artist replicate perfection on a daily basis, and that comes from different things that’s not just physical, but also a mental, emotional aspect as well to being great. “You can’t be a peak performer if you’re not competitive every day. There were some of the best physical athletes I ever had that were not competitive everyday,” the former quarterback said.
