Tom Brady exposed as Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson discover trick in his Christmas gifts: “Beggars can’t be choosers, alright”

Tom Brady was exposed on Sunday’s Fox NFL Sunday when Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson revealed the holiday gifts quarterbacks gave their offensive linemen this season.

The gifts included extravagant items: Matthew Stafford gave extra-large plunge tubs, Kyler Murray gifted personalized scooters, Jalen Hurts and Patrick Mahomes gave golf carts, Brock Purdy gave custom pickup trucks, and Tom Brady gave luxury SUVs.

However, Andrews and Thompson revealed the catch with Brady‘s gift: the luxury SUVs were on one-year leases, showing that the seemingly lavish present was temporary rather than permanent for his linemen this holiday season.

“Beggars can’t be choosers, alright,” Brady joked in the studio, defending his choice and emphasizing that even a future Pro Football Hall-of-Famer must consider fiscal responsibility.

Raiders’ season struggles continue on the field

On the field, Brady‘s Las Vegas Raiders were shut out 31-0 by the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles, marking their second road shutout this season after a similar 31-0 loss to the Chiefs and dropping Las Vegas to a 2-12 record on the year.

Philadelphia‘s offense was sharp early, converting three-of-three on third downs. Jalen Hurts executed a creative shovel pass to Dallas Goedert for a touchdown at the goal line, putting Las Vegas behind quickly and forcing Brady‘s team to play catch-up all game.

Raiders quarterback Kenny Pickett struggled under pressure, completing just 10-of-17 passes for 56 yards in the first half. The offense repeatedly stalled, going three-of-eight on third downs and relying on checkdowns to move the ball, limiting any sustained drives.

Pickett‘s interception to linebacker Zach Baun ended his nine-start streak without throwing a pick. Philadelphia immediately capitalized, scoring twice more, including a 27-yard touchdown pass to A.J. Brown that essentially sealed the game and the Raiders‘ defeat.

The Eagles dominated total yardage 387-75, Las Vegas‘ lowest output of the season as they continue to limp to the finish line of the 2025 NFL season.

“This is a very, very well-loaded team,” head coach Pete Carroll said. “And they just did their thing today on both sides of the ball and they really took it to us. We couldn’t stop their offense and get off the field on third down. A couple penalties got in our way and they were able to do what they needed to do. They ran for a bunch, they threw really highly efficient stuff. It wasn’t taxing for them, couldn’t make it hard on them and we couldn’t get out of our way on offense. We couldn’t make any yards.”

Brady’s financial caution mirrors team struggles

This season, the Raiders have struggled both on and off the field. Brady‘s financial caution with gifts mirrors their challenges in execution, leaving Las Vegas searching for answers as the team’s offensive struggles continue under the seven-time Super Bowl winner.
