Knowing how to reinvent yourself after retirement is something that can become a real problem for big-name athletes. Creativity and imagination are essential at this stage and Tom Brady proves it.
The former Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback was able to turn his passion into a fun hobby: collecting cards.
Brady recently opened up a CardVault sports card store at the American Dream mall in New Jersey, and he was both excited and wistful in an Instagram post: “This is more than just a store – it’s a dream come full circle. When I was a kid in San Mateo, I would spend hours at my local card store” he began.
He further explained how with “CardVault,” Tom wants to expand that sense of fun and warmth more places, “across the country and across the world.”
In between thanks and reminiscing about his childhood, Brady didn’t miss the opportunity to make fans laugh by writing:
PS: I’m still recovering from seeing all those Giants and Jets fans cheering, usually someone is trying to kill me, or something terrible happens when I’m around you guys
And it’s understandable that Brady has bad memories of these two teams, as two of the only three Super Bowls he lost were to Eli Manning and the New York Giants.
Now retired, the rivalry between Brady and the fans of these teams seems to be a thing of the past, or so he proved in this heartfelt and amusing post.
Tom Brady is still connected to the sport
Despite his retirement, the passion for the sport in his heart has been demonstrated by his foray into the world of soccer. Brady is playing an important role in Birmingham as co-owner.
Now, his goal is to make “The Blues” great again and to bring Chris Davies’ side back to the Premier League.
