Tigers’ Dillon Dingler and Zach McKinstry made an unbelievable catch against the White Sox

There are few things left to see on a baseball diamond, but even so, MLB continues to surprise almost weekly with unusual and most bizarre actions. While it is true that a baseball game is not known for its dynamism and thrilling actions, from time to time there are situations that go viral immediately.

This is the case of the curious catch by Zach McKinstry of the Detroit Tigers, with the unexpected and invaluable help of his teammate Dillon Dingler in the recent game against the Chicago White Sox.

Dingler tried to catch a deep hit byJoshua Palacios, but slipped in his attempt and opted to ‘palm’ the ball in true volleyball style (or ‘pinball’!) so that it was his teammate McKinstry who caught the ball before it hit the ground (and after it hit him in the calf) to the approval of the umpire and the disbelief of the home crowd in Chicago.
