Tiger Woods shared an emotional moment on the golf green at the PNC Championship by embracing his former wife as he competed alongside their son across 18 holes in Orlando, Florida over the weekend.
The 48-year-old sports icon was with Elin Nordegren from 2004-2010 and she is the mother of his two children, but their family eventually split up after the news of Woods’ adultery was leaked by media.
But in 2024 it seems as though the fallout has calmed down as Team Woods enjoyed their day competing with Tiger and his son, Charlie, taking shots and his daughter, Sam, working as their caddy whilst Elin watched on.
They went on to finish second behind Germany’s Bernhard Langer but had a memorable moment as they walked off the green on December 22 as Nordegren pulled Woods in for a hug, before going on to embrace their two children too.
Could Nordegren and Woods get back together?
Elin, who wore a white jacket and baseball hat, and Tiger, who wore his typical red, have remained strong despite their split and have kept an amicable and seemingly friendly relationship for their children.
They can often be spotted at events for Charlie such as when he collected his state championship ceremony; despite 10 women coming forwards to accuse him of cheating with them in 2009, in what resulted in a trip to rehab for sex addiction for the 15-time Major winner.
“We’re able to pick up the phone, and we talk to each other all the time,” Tiger told Time back in 2015 of their co-parenting. “We both know that the most important things in our lives are our kids.”
But chances of a reconciliation are long gone as the Swedish model has since gone on to have three children with Jordan Cameron, who played in the NFL from 2011-2016 with the Cleveland Browns and Miami Dolphins.
