It has been a very interesting last few months for Tiger Woods after deciding to not play as much as he used to and now there is a lot of uncertainty for his golf career in the near future.
He recently spoke to the media on Tuesday and he tried to talk about his PGA Tour negotiations and with Saudi backers of LIV Golf, but there was not so much to talk about because of his honesty.
“I’m not tournament sharp yet, no. I’m still not there,” Tiger Woods said. “These are 20 of the best players in the world and I’m not sharp enough to compete against them at this level. So when I’m ready to compete and play at this level, then I will.”
The honesty could lead to desperation by fans
From what insiders have found out and people close to him is that Tiger Woods is telling the truth. He honestly has no idea of what he will do in 2025 but the fans want answers.
But people should try to understand. Tiger was appointed to the PGA Tour board a year ago and he is also on the commercial PGA Tour Enterprises, so there is not much time for him to play.
There has been some negotiations for the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia for him to become a minority investor in the tour’s enterprises. If this were to happen, even less time would be let for him to spend playing.
With all that said, he does want to keep playing so it’s a matter of what he would like to do with his life but being of the green to become a fulltime business man might just be in the horizon for him sooner rather than later.
