Tiger Woods’ ex-wife Elin Nordegren makes her feelings clear after golf icon’s DUI arrest

The images of flashing lights and a damaged vehicle brought back memories many hoped were long behind him. Now, after Tiger Woods‘ latest arrest, concern is growing not just among fans, but within his own family. A new report indicates that his ex-wife Elin Nordegren is once again questioning his long-term well-being following another troubling incident.

Woods is facing renewed scrutiny after a recent rollover crash led to his arrest on DUI-related charges.

The incident marks another chapter in a series of off-course issues that have followed the golf legend over the past decade.

According to reports, Nordegren, who shares two children with Woods, is now among those concerned about his health and stability moving forward.

Her worries reportedly center on whether Woods can remain physically and mentally well enough to be present for their children, Sam, 18, and rising golf prodigy Charlie, 17.

The concern is rooted in a pattern of past incidents. In 2021, Woods survived a serious car crash in Los Angeles that left him with severe leg injuries, requiring multiple surgeries and a long recovery process that nearly resulted in amputation.

Years earlier, in 2017, he was arrested for DUI after being found asleep in his car, later attributing the situation to a reaction to prescription medication.

Even further back, a 2009 crash near his Florida home coincided with the highly public unraveling of his marriage, an event that brought intense media attention and lasting personal consequences.

Woods and Nordegren on better terms

The latest incident adds to that history. Woods was reportedly taken into custody after refusing a urine test, despite registering 0 percent on a breathalyzer.

He now faces multiple charges, with legal proceedings still ahead.

What makes the situation more complex is the timing. Just weeks earlier, Woods and Nordegren were seen together publicly at their son’s championship ceremony, appearing on good terms.

The contrast between that moment and the current situation has only amplified the sense of concern.

Professionally, Woods had also been attempting a return.

He recently appeared at the TGL Finals, marking his first competitive action since mid-2024.

His comeback efforts have been shaped by ongoing physical challenges, including an Achilles injury and multiple back procedures.

While Woods continues to push toward returning to the course, the bigger question may lie beyond purely his ability to play golf.

Reactions across the golf world have already begun to shift from performance expectations to personal well-being.

Will Woods return to golf?

Concerns like those reportedly expressed by Nordegren reflect the idea that Woods‘ future may depend less on his next tournament and more on stability off the course.

How the legal process unfolds will play a key role in determining immediate consequences.

But beyond that, the focus may increasingly turn to whether Woods can break a cycle that has resurfaced at critical moments in his life.

For one of golf’s most iconic figures, the path forward now appears to hinge not just on recovery, but on lasting change
