Tiger Woods’ arrest search reveals surprising items after crash

New bodycam footage from police related to Tiger Woods’ car crash and DUI arrest last week has been released, revealing several details that have drawn public attention – particularly the items the golf legend had in his possession at the time of the incident.

“Are you arresting me?” Woods asks as officers proceed to handcuff him, stating that his condition was not appropriate for driving. In the video, he explains that he looked at his phone and then, “boom,” referencing the moment of the crash.

However, what has generated the most discussion online are the personal items recovered from Woods – especially one in particular that has sparked debate across social media.

What Was Tiger Woods Carrying When He Was Arrested?

In the footage, an officer can be seen removing cash, AirPods, two opioid pills, and a product that quickly stood out online: tobacco-free nicotine pouches branded as “Focus.” The detail has fueled conversation around the moment and its optics.

The timing has been widely noted, with “Focus” becoming an unexpected talking point, though some users have expressed support and empathy for Woods following his recent announcement that he would step away from golf.

After his arrest last Friday on suspicion of DUI, Woods released a statement saying he would temporarily step away from the sport to “seek treatment and focus on my health.”

Woods pleaded not guilty in Martin County court. He also requested a jury trial and waived his right to the scheduled arraignment on April 23. His legal defense will be handled by Douglas Duncan – the same attorney who represented him in 2017, when he was also arrested on suspicion of DUI.
