Tiger Woods and Vanessa Trump have vanished from the public eye after announcing their relationship together, so what exactly is the reason for why the pair have dipped after going official?
The 46-year-old Woods and 47-year-old Trump, who was married to Donald‘s son from 2005-2018, broke the news on March 24 and admitted they felt pressured to do so in the face of growing speculation.
However, he had planned to keep the romance behind closed doors but when a British tabloid discovered the truth and it spread across the internet like wildfire, he was simply unable to hide it any longer.
“He knew it would be a great topic when it came to light,” a source said to the dailymail.com. “And he didn’t like it very much.
“But obviously, that Tiger goes out with a Trump will always be news, which is just what he wanted to avoid.”
In the end, it was their children who proved to be where suspicions began. Woods‘ son and daughter, Charlie and Sam, attend The Benjamin School; as does Vanessa’s daughter, Kai.
Known for its small community in Palm Beach, Florida, the source reported people began to whisper and gossip as the two celebrities and personalities struggled to keep things under wraps.
Why have the pair disappeared?
Prior to the leak, the pair had gone to great lengths to keep their love private such as avoiding visiting public places together and even refusing to talk about it to their friends and family.
Even when they both appeared at a golf tournament in March, the pair didn’t show affection towards each other in their aims to keep things strictly private and away from the media.
Woods‘ valuation of his private life is so extreme that even when the news leaked in 2009 that he cheated on Elin Nordegren, his wife of five years at the time, he only fronted the story when he absolutely had to.
“That’s what I mean. He doesn’t talk about his private life until it’s absolutely necessary,” an ex-employee of Woods said of 2009 to the dailymail.com. “At least this is something positive, just a new relationship.
“I know Tiger didn’t want to share the news, but now that he has, there has to be some relief. Now he can move on and live his life.”
