Tiger Woods and Vanessa Trump faced a tense weekend after the golfer’s latest DUI arrest, with insiders revealing heated discussions over safety, accountability, and Vanessa’s growing concern about riding with Woods in a car.
The 50-year-old rolled his Range Rover near his Jupiter Island, Florida, home last Friday, marking his fourth high-profile crash in recent years, and Vanessa reportedly demanded assurances that this reckless behavior would not repeat in the future.
Woods’ history of accidents underscores her concern: in 2009 he hit a fire hydrant fleeing home after an affair, in 2017 he was found slumped behind the wheel from painkiller effects, and in 2021 he fractured his leg in another rollover crash.
“She has gone from concern to anger,” an insider told the Daily Mail. “She was like ‘let’s solve this together,’ and his response was basically ‘yeah, yeah, yeah, I got it. It’s fine. It’s under control.’
“And she’s like ‘it is so obviously not under control.’ She is annoyed because he drives her and her kids around sometimes. She just thinks about all the times that she doesn’t know whether he was good to drive.
“She’s a protective mom. And this is not just irresponsible, it’s dangerous. She needs some reassurance that this is not happening again.
“Tiger‘s response is ‘don’t worry, I’m fine.’ So I don’t want to say that they’re on the rocks, but she is not going to put up with this. She needs stability, and this is not stable.
The source added: “If he can’t fix this, she will 100 per cent walk. She’s trying to make that clear without it sounding like an ultimatum, but obviously it kind of is.
“When he got out of custody, he was very apologetic. He really says he wants to do something about this, and it’s a wake-up call for him,” the source explained.
“But with Tiger, he has to figure out what’s best for himself. He has to decide how he is going to fix this and what his plans are. Nobody else can tell him what to do.”
What is Tiger Woods charged with?
Woods faces charges of driving under the influence (DUI), property damage, and refusal to submit to a lawful test after his March 27 crash, when his Land Rover rolled after clipping another truck on Jupiter Island, Florida roads.
Authorities noted Woods showed “signs of impairment” at the scene, even though a breathalyser returned zero, and his refusal to provide a urine sample triggered the additional charge under Florida law, compounding the legal situation.
He was also charged with property damage due to visible harm to both vehicles and held for the mandatory eight hours before being released on bond the next morning. No other motorists were injured, though pills in his pocket raised concern for authorities.
His court date is scheduled for April 23, and the legal process will determine how the DUI and related counts proceed under Florida law, while Vanessa Trump continues pressing for accountability and stability in their relationship.
