Tiger Woods and Serena Williams are, without a doubt, the greatest exponents of their sports. They dominated from beginning to end during their active years and at the peak of their careers. No one like them with a golf club or a racket in hand.
That is why seeing them together creates an emotional impact that further elevates their legendary status. Both were present at the TGL Finals. The golf GOAT, now 50 years old and a winner of 15 majors, shared a special moment with Serena.
Williams, for her part, won 23 Grand Slam titles, just one shy of Margaret Court’s 24. She retired from tennis in 2022 and has since maintained her remarkable abilities, with constant rumors surrounding a possible return.
Serena has surprised many with her physical transformation. She looks truly spectacular, even better than during her active playing days. She is also now among the investors in Canada’s first WNBA team, the Toronto Tempo.
That is not her only investment, as she is also an owner of the Los Angeles Golf Club alongside her husband, Alexis Ohanian, and her sister Venus.
The meeting between Tiger Woods and Serena Williams
The meeting between these two stars took place at the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, as part of TGL. There, they greeted each other and were able to talk and share moments reflecting on their sporting achievements.
It is worth recalling that Tiger continues to have limited participation following back surgery at the end of 2025 involving a disc. The player himself admitted that the pain he experienced was so severe that at times he could not get out of bed.
Woods’ last professional appearance came in February 2025 at TGL. On the PGA Tour, his last event was the British Open in July 2024. His most recent major victory came in 2019.
Although he has not officially retired, his appearances in official tournaments have become increasingly rare. Recovering from injuries now takes him more time. In 2021, he suffered a serious car accident that caused significant injuries to both legs
I think I’ve been trying to play every single one of these games.”…”I’ve been trying to get back into it. But it just hasn’t worked out that way. I had a bad run of injuries last year.
Woods told ESPN at the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
I think it’s been a year and a few days since I tore my Achilles tendon. And then I had two back surgeries. So it’s been a bit tough. But with the guys here, with this team, we have a lot of fun, and I really don’t want to mess up the lineup, I just want these guys to keep playing.
For Tiger, things have not fully improved regarding his health issues. However, the golf GOAT continues working on his rehabilitation in hopes of returning to high-level competition during the year.
It has not been easy, but as the greatest of all time, even at 50 years old, many still expect him to showcase his quality on the golf course once again.
