Kansas City’s newest high-end steakhouse, 1587 Prime, owned by Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes, is already making waves even before its official opening date, on September 17, 2025. Among the items on its menu is a Taylor Swift-themed cocktail, injecting a dash of romance and celebrity appeal to the menu.

A cocktail named ‘The Alchemy‘

The Taylor Swift-inspired cocktail, “The Alchemy,” is named after a track on Swift’s 2024 album ‘The Tortured Poets Department‘. Swifties have been guessing that the track is titled after Kelce, and thus the cocktail is essentially a tribute to the couple’s engagement this year.

Early reports describe the cocktail as beautiful and perfumed. Orange peel, cucumber, and rose petals garnish the cocktail that tries to bring elegancewith a refreshing flavor, recalling the sophisticated environment of 1587 Prime.

“It’s a way of bringing our appreciation of music, food, and culture into the dining experience,” an insider at the restaurant told The Kansas City star.

Triple C: Celebs, cuisine, and culture

1587 Prime intentios are to become way more than just a steakhouse. The restaurant is trying to achieve a combination of sports celebrity status and culinary sophistication, with menu offerings and drinks that mirror the great personalities of Mahomes and Kelce.

Therefore, the Taylor Swift-themed cocktail is likely to be an anchor item, attracting both Swifties and the most vintage football fans.

Big expectations ahead of the opening

With its grand opening just weeks away, 1587 Prime is already generating buzz from visitors and locals alike. The blending of pop culture, culinary artistry, and pop music is set to make the restaurant a hot destination in Kansas City.

The expected opening of 1587 Prime is scheduled for Wednesday, September 17, 2025, coinciding with Patrick Mahomes’ 30th birthday.

Located around the Loews Kansas City Hotel, the restaurant has approximately 10,000 square feet and provides multiple private dining rooms, a world-class chef’s kitchen, and a curated wine collection, aiming to offer an exceptional dining experience .

The restaurant’s name, 1587 Prime, is a nod to the jersey numbers of Mahomes (15) and Kelce (87), symbolizing their partnership both on and off the field
