The son of Brazilian international Thiago Silva makes his debut with… England!

A total of 113 international caps, seven goals, a Copa America, a Confederations Cup and two Olympic medals – a bronze and a silver – mark the career of Thiago Silva with Brazil.

However, the former Selecao captain, back at Porto at the age of 41, has seen this week how one of his sons, Iago Silva, made his debut with… England U15!!!

‘El Monstruo’s son plays as a central defender, like his father, and, like his brother Isago, plays in the youth ranks at Chelsea. “For me it would be a dream to see them play professionally at Chelsea. I love to see my children play here,” said Thiago Silva.

Iago, who had already taken part in a training camp at the end of October, made his debut for the ‘Three Lions’ with two victories against Cyprus (3-0) and the USA (4-0). “Grateful for my debut with England. Hungry for more,” wrote Iago on his ‘Instagram’.

It should be remembered that the fact that he played for England at under-15 level does not compromise his international future. Thiago Silva’s son, born in Rio de Janeiro, could represent Brazil in the future… as long as he does not accumulate three caps for the ‘three lions’ at senior level
