The Shedeur Sanders Effect in the Cleveland Browns is underway, the offense is slowly starting to take shape for the media-driven quarterback

Without a doubt, starting last Saturday, after selecting Shedeur Sanders in the fifth round of the draft, the Cleveland Browns will be one of the most-watched teams in the NFL. The reality is that controversy will surround the franchise, the spotlight will always be on them to see what happens with Shedeur, and most importantly, fans will be demanding that he play at some point in the season.

Currently, the Browns have five quarterbacks on their roster, which will undoubtedly stir some controversy. They have Deshaun Watson (injured), Kenny Pickett, Joe Flacco, and the rookies selected in the draft: Dillon Gabriel from the Oregon Ducks and Shedeur Sanders from the Colorado Buffaloes.

After the draft, Shedeur may not arrive as the star, but he will certainly have a chance to compete with the other four quarterbacks on the team, and time will tell if NFL teams will regret passing on him multiple times.

The Browns have added a receiver to their roster

The Cleveland Browns have agreed to a one-year contract with Diontae Johnson, a wide receiver who played for three teams last season: the Carolina Panthers, Baltimore Ravens, and Houston Texans.

The deal was finalized after Johnson visited Cleveland on Monday. Johnson had a tough season, marked by multiple team changes and a conflict with the Ravens, which included a suspension for refusing to play in a game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Johnson’s best moments came with the Pittsburgh Steelers. His best season was in 2021, when he recorded 107 receptions, 1,161 yards, and 8 touchdowns, earning him a Pro Bowl selection. However, since then, his performance has declined, but now, playing alongside Jerry Jeudy on the Browns, he could become very dangerous.

Additionally, Johnson could immediately have an important role, especially since Elijah Moore, who was the second-best receiver on the team, has not signed yet and is being linked to the Buffalo Bills.
