The player who refuses to join the Dodgers and play with Shohei Ohtani

Los Angeles Dodgers don’t have many holes in their roster, but any they do have can be solved at the upcoming trade deadline. The reigning MLB champions could be looking for an outfielder. Michael Conforto has struggled, and with Max Muncy’s injury, Tommy Edman might be more needed in the infield. The Dodgers might have to rule one name off their list of potential targets. According to Noah Hiles of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Bryan Reynolds will not approve a trade to the Dodgers.

Some reports have indicated that Bryan Reynolds is also receiving trade interest. However, transferring Reynolds may not be as easy as others. Reynolds, who is under team control until the 2031 season, has a six-team no-trade clause in his contract, meaning he has made it clear that he would not approve a deal with certain locations.

Who could “steal” the Los Angeles Dodgers’ possible signings?

Those six teams, according to sources, are the Yankees (New York), the Mets (New York), the Blue Jays (Toronto), the Dodgers (Los Angeles), the Giants (San Francisco) and the Padres (San Diego). wrote Hiles, but on the other hand, the Pirates are considering everyone except Paul Skenes and Oneil Cruz. If Reynolds is really available, he would attract a lot of interest, but most of the teams that need him are on his list of teams he would not approve a trade to.

The Philadelphia Phillies are one team that is not on his list and could use an outfielder. Reynolds clearly does not want to play in New York or California. He signed an eight-year, $106 million contract with the Pirates in 2023. He has been a two-time All-Star and would be a great addition for the Dodgers.

The Dodgers calmly weigh players’ options

This season, he is hitting just .232, but his career statistics tell a different story. He has an OPS of .808 with 132 home runs. His last All-Star selection was last season. He hit more than 20 home runs in four consecutive seasons prior to this year. He could start hitting better on a team with aspirations for victory and in a lineup with other stars around him.

In the absence of Max Muncy, a deficiency in the starting rotation and irregularities in their relievers, the Los Angeles manager, Dave Roberts, will have to talk long and hard with the Dodgers’ management to strengthen their gaps, after the terrible sweep against the Houston Astros, where they were beaten 18-1 in the first game, with 10 runs allowed in a single inning.
