Wednesday, September 10, 2025, will go down in history as one of the saddest days, after Charlie Kirkwas shot and killed while attending an event of his “American Comeback Tour” at Utah Valley University (UVU) in Orem, Utah. Kirk was the founder and leader of the conservative movement Turning Point USA (TPUSA).

Statements condemning the attack came swiftly. Utah Governor Spencer Cox called it a “political assassination,” and both Republicans and Democrats denounced the act, calling for “peace” immediately.

Charlie Kirk was 31 years old and a conservative political activist, closely associated with former President Donald Trump. At age 18, he helped create Turning Point USA, an organization aimed at engaging young students in defending principles such as personal freedom and free-market economics, among others.
