Caitlin Clark‘s name is back in the spotlight this week, not for a buzzerbeater or recordsetting night, but for her scheduled return to the New Heights podcast with hosts Jason and Travis Kelce, a rare media appearance highlighting how far her impact has spread beyond basketball courts.
The Indiana Fever guard, fresh off a historic WNBA rookie campaign that saw her earn Rookie of the Year honors and shatter scoring and assist benchmarks, will be featured in the final New Heights episode of 2025, set to drop Dec. 31.
New Heights is one of the mostlistenedto sports podcasts in the U.S., hosted by Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and his older brother, former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce.
“I’m back,” Clark posted on social media in reaction to the announcement, following up with a simple threeword caption, “ran it back,” on her Instagram story.
The episode announcement, shared on the podcast’s official X account, billed Clark with a concise rundown of her accolades:
“She’s the alltime leading scorer of NCAA history, the first overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft. She’s a two-time WNBA All-Star and 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year. The 2024 Time Magazine Athlete of the Year… Please welcome back to the show, Caitlin Clark!”
Clark first appeared on New Heights in January of 2025, when she sat down with the Kelce brothers to reflect on her first professional season and several defining moments of her life and career.
Cathy Engelbert, commissioner of the WNBA, has gone so far as to describe Clark as “the most popular athlete in America,” underlining her outsized cultural footprint.
Clark‘s impact on the WNBA
Clark‘s 2025 campaign in the WNBA was nothing short of remarkable. After being selected first overall in the 2024 WNBA Draft, she didn’t just meet expectations. She shattered them.

Clark became the first rookie since 2008 to make the All-WNBA First Team and was named WNBA Rookie of the Year by a nearunanimous vote.
Her ascent into national conversation hasn’t been limited to box scores. Clark has been featured on major media platforms, honored with national awards such as the AP Female Athlete of the Year, and drawn fans into arenas and across broadcasts with her electrifying play and compelling personality.
