The Jaguars’ plan to bring Travis Hunter back after his season ended with injury has been revealed

The Jaguars have finalized their plan to bring back cornerback and wide receiver Travis Hunter, whose NFL season was cut short by an injury that required surgery. Jacksonville has seven more games remaining in what has so far been a successful start to a new era. Currently, the focus is on continuing their winning streak, as they boast a 6-4 record.

Yesterday, Sunday, November 16, the Jacksonville Jaguars delivered a dominant performance in their 35-6 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers, demonstrating their competitive edge. Head coach Liam Coen emphasized the importance of consistency moving forward, urging the players to maintain the same energy they displayed during the game.

Jaguars to continue deploying Travis Hunter as their top confrontational WR and CB

The Jaguars placed rookie cornerback/wide receiver Travis Hunter on injured reserve several weeks ago after he suffered a non-contact knee injury during practice, and last week he underwent knee surgery that will sideline him for six months. Now, some information has emerged regarding the Jaguars’ plans for Hunter once those six months are over.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Jaguars’ plans for Hunter and his future are no different now than they were a few weeks ago. “Sources say Jacksonville, in fact, plans to continue deploying Hunter as their top confrontational receiver and cornerback going forward. In fact, prior to Hunter’s non-contact injury during practice on October 30, he was preparing to be used more, not less,” he said.

How is Trevor Lawrence doing with Jacksonville in the 2025 NFL season?

Trevor Lawrence hasn’t had the stellar season that fans and experts expected after quarterback guru Liam Coen took over as the Jacksonville Jaguars’ new head coach. The team has a 6-4 record and is firmly in the AFC playoff conversation, but largely in spite of Lawrence’s performance, rather than due to his excellence.

He had arguably his worst performance of the season in the Jaguars’ devastating loss to the Houston Texans in Week 10. He completed 13 of 23 passes for just 158 yards, with one touchdown and one interception. He also suffered five sacks for a loss of 39 yards, including one on two consecutive three-play drives and a punt in the fourth quarter.
