Romano Benito Floriani Mussolini, great-grandson of the Italian dictator Benito Mussolini, will play in Serie A after being loaned by Lazio to Cremonese.
The great-grandson of ‘Il Duce’, who arrives on loan with an option to buy, stood out last season in Serie B playing for Juve Stabia.
“Born in Rome on January 27, 2003, the winger developed his football career in the capital, starting in Roma’s youth system before moving to Lazio. After a long spell in the Biancocelesti’s youth system, where he also won the Primavera 2 Super Cup, he played his first year as a professional with Pescara in Serie C in the 2023-24 season, playing 32 games between league, cup and playoffs. Last season, he joined Juve Stabia, contributing to the success of the Campania team with 37 games (including the two-legged playoff semi-final against Cremonese), one goal and three assists,” said the Grigiorosso team.

Benito Floriani Mussolini, who is 22 years old, explained in ‘Gazzetta’ that he wants to be called Romano Mussolini, not Romano Floriani.
The new Cremonese footballer, who has on more than one occasion confessed that he has no interest in politics, is the third son of Mauro Floriani and former politician Alessandra Mussolini (with whom he participated in the television program ‘Ballando con le Stelle’, the Italian version of ‘Dancing with the Stars’).
Her mother’s father was the pianist Romano Mussolini and her great-grandfather was the Italian fascist dictator Benito Mussolini, who was executed on 28 April 1945 along with his lover Clara Petacci.
