The Eagles owner believes the dispute between Jalen Hurts and AJ Brown is better for them than peace

The Eagles had a wild start and a wild stop in the first six NFL games, winning four straight games only to lose two in a row. However, they came away with another victory in Week 7, and everything indicates that things have turned around. However, the friction continues between players like Jalen Hurts and AJ Brown, which the Philadelphia owner wouldn’t mind at all.

In the first four weeks of the 2025 NFL season, the Eagles beat the Dallas Cowboys in the opening game, then edged Kansas City by 3 points, and despite having a tough time, they managed to pull out results against the Rams and Buccaneers. When Week 5 arrived, everything changed. The Eagles fell at home to a powerful Denver Broncos team and then lost at MetLife Stadium to a renewed and eager Giants team; they returned to victory against the Vikings.

Jalen Hurts ignores AJ Brown and “focuses on the team”

One of the most striking topics of the moment in Philadelphia has been the friction between quarterback Jalen Hurts and wide receiver AJ Brown, with the latter complaining about not having enough balls in the game. The relationship is facing a lot of heat. After Brown scored two TDs in their Week 7 victory, he posted on social media: “Using me but not using me” (Instagram).

We need intensity all the time for whatever reason, it’s what works

Reporters immediately asked Hurts if he was confused by what Brown posts online. “I just keep my focus singularly on the team,” the quarterback responded calmly. This may not be entirely negative, at least for the dream team’s Jeffrey Lurie, who assures that “it’s not that we want to fight, we just need intensity all the time for whatever reason, it’s what works.”

AJ Brown misses Eagles practice due to injury, jeopardizes Giants matchup

Philadelphia Eagles star receiver AJ Brown missed Wednesday’s practice with a hamstring injury, sparking an injury scare. Brown had a frustrating start to the 2025 season but began to rejuvenate when the Super Bowl champions defeated the Vikings on Sunday. The receiver had two touchdowns and 121 yards, both season highs, in Minnesota.

But he was one of five Eagles players who missed Wednesday’s practice. Nick Sirianni’s team will face the New York Giants on Sunday, just two weeks after Jaxson Dart and his team were defeated 34-17. The Eagles ended a two-game losing streak with a 28-22 victory over the Vikings, as Brown combined with quarterback Jalen Hurts for two touchdowns.
