The Dodgers do not lose sight of the desire to sign a coveted All-Star

The celebrations and festivities for winning the World Series are over. The Dodgers do not want to waste time analyzing the changes they require in their roster for next season. They are looking to strengthen themselves with top players who fit the goal of repeating the title and continuing as protagonists of the National League. One of those reinforcements would be a coveted All-Star.

According to USA Today’s Bob Nightengale, the Los Angeles organisation is once again going after an outfielder they had already tried to sign on the previous deadline day and for whom they now want to take advantage of the offseason to complete his transfer, Steven Kwan of the Cleveland Guardians.

Without specifying figures, Nightengale reported that Cleveland would demand a considerable amount for him that would not only consist of money, but also in a package that includes proven or projectable elements with good numbers in their statistics.

If a deal with the Guardians is finalized based on his contract conditions, the Dodgers would not hesitate to meet his demands. The champions would do so for two reasons: to secure the services of a player who is worth it and to show the rest of the MLB teams that they have no qualms about investing whatever it takes in proven players who will help them stay at the top.

The qualities that attract Steven Kwan to the Dodgers

Cleveland had a remarkable end to the season that allowed them to make the playoffs only to fall to the Detroit Tigers. In the context of that comeback, Kwan’s performance was noted. He had previously been under consideration by the Los Angeles team, but he cemented their interest in him.

Kwan established himself as one of the best outfielders in the league. That’s why they want him, because they need someone who can guarantee them safety and effectiveness in the dangerous zone

  • Ability and reading of the field to cover ground.
  • Reading and analysis of ball trajectories.
  • Ability to draw walks.

These are three of the main characteristics that stand out about Kwan and have enamored the Dodgers to keep their intentions of seeing him in action at Dodger Stadium next season.
