Davante Adams made news this week and not because of his performance on the field, it was because he asked the Las Vegas Raiders for a trade. The receiver does not want to continue with the team, with whom he has not played since Week 3 due to an alleged injury.
After that, rumors began to point to Adams’ possible reunions with his previous quarterbacks, Derek Carr, now in New Orleans, and Aaron Rodgers, now with the Jets. But maybe he’ll go somewhere else, like to the Baltimore Ravens, maybe.
Adams set social media on fire by posting several images of Edgar Allan Poe on Friday. Posting references to an author or artist is something never seen before, but we have to remember that the writer is the inspiration for the name of the Baltimore Ravens, courtesy of the poem ‘The Raven’.
Cell phones and computers exploited
The internet began to spread with rumors of Adams’ arrival in Baltimore, a team that needs another receiver, since behind Zay Flowers they only have Nelson Agholor and Rashod Bateman,
The tight end game has also been off this year, as Mark Andrews practically did not contribute in the first month of the season and they need a scary weapon on offense to go along with Lamar Jackson.
The Raiders would only trade Davante if a team is willing to give them a second-round pick for the receiver. But there is a problem, as the Ravens don’t have cap space to make that move, because they would have to have more than $10 million for this year’s remaining salary, and they only have $4 million of space.
Time will only tell if in fact Adams is moved and if he goes to the Ravens or not, but we will find out soon as the trade deadline is November 4.
