The NBA day was marked by the feat of Anthony Edwards (the third youngest player to reach 10,000 career points in the NBA), Rick Carlisle’s historic 1,000 wins and the suspension due to dampness on the court of the game between the Chicago Bulls and Miami Heat.

At 24 years and 156 days old, Anthony Edwards became the third youngest player to reach 10,000 career points in the NBA, in the Minnesota Timberwolves’ 131-122 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Only LeBron James (23 years and 59 days) and Kevin Durant (24 years and 33 days) reached that number before Edwards.

The number one pick in the 2020 draft scored 25 points in the win over the Cavs, in which four Wolves players scored more than 20 points.

Julius Randle scored 28 points, Jaden McDaniels 26, and Donte DiVicenzo added 22.

Rick Carlisle reaches 1,000 NBA wins, 11th coach to reach that mark

Indiana Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle became the 11th coach in NBA history to reach 1,000 wins

In one of the most difficult seasons of his career, Rick Carlisle was able to celebrate a great personal achievement, reaching 1,000 victories in his nearly 37-year NBA career.

His Pacers won 114-112 at the Charlotte Hornets to snap a 13-game losing streak that left them at the bottom of the Eastern Conference (7-31).

They are the team with the worst record in the NBA, after reaching the Finals last year.

Pascal Siakam was the leader in the victory over the Hornets with a double-double of 30 points and 14 rebounds.

Rookie Cooper Flagg continues to grow: 26 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists

The Utah Jazz returned to winning ways after five straight losses thanks to a 116-114 win over the Dallas Mavericks, fueled by 33 points from Lauri Markkanen.

This was the chaos in Chicago

The game between the Chicago Bulls and Miami Heat scheduled for Thursday at 7:00 p.m. was postponed due to a condensation problem on the United Center court and will be played at a date to be announced.

After almost two hours of waiting, with players from both teams hanging around between the locker rooms and the court, the NBA announced in a statement that the game would be postponed.

The United Center’s maintenance staff worked to dry the court for more than an hour, but the humidity remained on the floor and conditions were not conducive to competition.

The United Center, the largest stadium in the NBA, has its basketball court placed on top of the ice rink used by the Chicago Blackhawks in the NHL.
