The death of Pope Francis has shaken the whole of society. The Pope’s condition was quite delicate until today when his death was confirmed. He died at the age of 88 at 2:35 am (Argentinean time). So far so normal. However, there is a rather curious coincidence.

And it is that the age of Pope Francis and his time of death… coincides with the membership card of his team San Lorenzo de Almagro! Facts that have attracted attention on social networks. Pope Francis was born in Buenos Aires on December 17, 1936.

In his childhood he found one of his great passions: soccer. And for a specific team: San Lorenzo de Almagro. Like his father, they both shared a passion for the colors of ‘Los Cuervos’. From the age of nine, he attended the stadium where he was captivated by the atmosphere and passion of the Argentine fans. A faithful follower of San Lorenzo since he was a child, in 2008 he became a member of the club.

Ten months after being named a member, San Lorenzo de Almagro won its first Copa Libertadores. You could say that the Pope was a good luck charm for his team.
