The Cleveland Browns would betray Shedeur Sanders and trade him; major revelation

The results of the current Cleveland Browns season come as no surprise. From the very beginning, with so many issues at the quarterback position, the projections were far from positive for the team led by Kevin Stefanski. At the moment, the Browns are being led by Shedeur Sanders, who entered the preseason as the fourth option on the depth chart.

The Browns are just a couple of losses away from finishing with the same record as last season, and unless something unexpected happens, that will be the case. Cleveland finished the 2024 season with a 3-14 record, and so far in 2025 they stand at 3-12 following their Week 16 loss to the Buffalo Bills. The Browns still have games remaining against the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cincinnati Bengals.

There’s a reason why, since returning to Cleveland in 1999, the Browns have only made the playoffs four times. In fact, the last appearance was in 2023, a couple of years ago, during a season in which Kevin Stefanski was named Head Coach of the Year. However, after two terrible seasons, that success feels like a distant memory.

The Cleveland Browns would trade Shedeur Sanders

Shedeur Sanders arrived in Cleveland as a fifth-round draft pick and has not been treated particularly well-understandable, considering he was the 144th overall selection. From the moment he joined the team, he was the fourth quarterback option until Week 10, when Dillon Gabriel suffered a concussion. From that point on, the former Colorado Buffaloes quarterback took control of the offense.

Ahead of Week 11, Shedeur Sanders was named the starter, and although he holds a 1-5 record, the truth is that he has not looked bad. There has been a noticeable improvement in the offense compared to what was seen under Joe Flacco or Dillon Gabriel. Even so, patience appears to be wearing thin for Deion Sanders’ son.

According to ESPN analyst Aaron Goldhammer, the Cleveland Browns are expected to trade Shedeur Sanders and select a quarterback in the upcoming Draft: “I think the Browns are gonna be drafting a quarterback,” the journalist stated. It’s worth noting that the Browns own two first-round picks, making it interesting to see how they handle the situation-especially since one of those picks is projected to be high, currently third overall.

The first question will be whether the Browns stick with the current regime led by general manager Andrew Berry and head coach Kevin Stefanski. Additionally, reports have surfaced that Cleveland will give Deshaun Watson a chance to compete for the starting job, meaning this ongoing saga still has many chapters left to be written.
