The Cleveland Browns have had enough and have made a strong decision regarding Shedeur Sanders and Quinshon Judkins

Since returning to Cleveland in 1999, the Browns have been the most unstable franchise in the NFL – with only four winning seasons since then – and today, the organization is a complete circus. In the 2023-24 season, they made the playoffs with an 11-6 record, but with everything happening now, it feels like that was years ago.

The franchise is in chaos: they have a five-year, $230 million guaranteed quarterback, Deshaun Watson, who has been a complete disaster for the past three years, and in the most recent Draft, they selected Shedeur Sanders and Quinshon Judkins, both of whom have already caused legal trouble for Cleveland. So, yes – it’s a mess.

Shedeur Sanders has received speeding tickets, and Quinshon Judkins was arrested for domestic violence – an unbelievable situation unfolding with the Cleveland Browns. And by the way, the team doesn’t even have a confirmed starting quarterback for Week 1.

Quinshon Judkins’ arrest could lead to serious contract issues

Last Saturday, July 12, in Fort Lauderdale, Quinshon Judkins was arrested on charges of domestic violence and battery, following a report filed five days after the incident, which occurred on July 7. According to the police report, Judkins allegedly assaulted his partner and was released from Broward County Jail after posting a $2,500 bond.

Judkins could be in serious trouble. At one point, he was expected to be the Browns’ starting running back, but this situation might cost him that opportunity. Additionally, the Ohio State product has not yet signed his rookie contract, and this could complicate negotiations on a four-year deal worth approximately $11.4 million.

On Monday, Zac Jackson of The Athletic appeared on the Ken Carman Show with Anthony Lima on 92.3 The Fan to talk about the issue: “This contract situation… means he could be in limbo and could miss valuable training camp time for multiple reasons,” Jackson said. “In these cases, the NFL begins investigating immediately.”

So, it will be very interesting to see what happens this coming Friday, when the Browns’ rookies are scheduled to report to training camp.
