The Cleveland Browns have the opportunity to add a key piece to their team with the second overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft and on Thursday they will host quarterback Cam Ward after hosting QB Shedeur Sanders, wide receiver Travis Hunter and defensive back Abdul Carter on Wednesday.
Choosing a quarterback makes sense for Cleveland, as Deshaun Watson is out with a torn Achilles tendon after three seasons with many mistakes with the Browns. But the Tennessee Titans, who own the first overall pick in the draft, could snatch Ward, who for many scouts is the best quarterback in the class.
Before the 2025 NFL Combine, teams did not have a clear favorite between Cam and Shedeur, but with an unconvincing display from Shedeur, teams have opted for Ward as the best QB in the draft.
Cleveland’s free agency moves should give some clues as to which player they will select on April 24.
