According to a player from the Philadelphia Phillies’ infield, the 2025 version of the team is the deepest in the MLB playoffs since 2019, where they face the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League Division Series.
The baseball player said this before game one of the divisional series in which the Los Angeles Dodgers came from behind to defeat the Philadelphia Phillies five runs to three on Saturday, October 4, 2025.

According to Philadelphia Phillies catcher J.T. Realmuto: “In my opinion, this is probably the deepest team we’ve had. I think the lineup is as deep as we’ve had it. I think our bullpen, in my opinion, is the best, top to bottom, that we’ve had since I’ve been here.”
“We’ve had good teams here, but I feel like this is the most complete team we’ve had.”
“It’s tough to lose Zack Wheeler. You can’t replace a guy like that. Our starting lineup is very deep. We have guys who pitch really well and have been successful at this stage.”
“I don’t think any of our contracts really change the way we feel this postseason compared to others. We’ve always had a sense of urgency here, and every year when you start, the ultimate goal is to win a World Series. At the end of the day, that’s the only thing that matters. There are different contracts that expire every season. I don’t see this any differently than in past seasons. From the beginning of this year, we wanted to win a World Series, and that’s the only thing we’re thinking about.”

“In my opinion, they’re the epitome of what Major League Baseball should be. They come out every year and try to win, their ownership is incredible, their front office is great. It’s an organization that other teams look up to. And I look at our team the same way.”, J.T. Realmuto.
