Texas Children’s Houston Open 2025: How to watch, schedule, and all about the PGA Tour tournament

The 2025 Texas Children’s Houston Open tees off this Thursday, March 27, and runs through Sunday, March 30, at the iconic Memorial Park Golf Course in Houston, Texas.

As one of the last events before The Masters, the tournament has drawn a top-tier field of PGA Tour talent and is expected to deliver high-stakes action over four intense rounds of golf.

This year’s edition holds even more significance as it builds momentum leading into the major season. With the Masters looming just around the corner in April, many players are using Houston as a final proving ground.

Set on a challenging layout that has been revamped in recent years, Memorial Park promises to test even the most elite players with its mix of length, strategy, and fast greens.

Broadcast details, field highlights and course breakdown

The Houston Open kicks off with Round 1 on Thursday, followed by daily rounds through Sunday’s final.

Coverage begins Thursday and Friday on Golf Channel from 16:00 to 19:00 ET, with weekend action split between Golf Channel and NBC, airing from 13:00 to 15:00 ET on Golf Channel and continuing from 15:00 p.m. to 18:00 ET on NBC.

For fans streaming online, PGA Tour Live on ESPN+ provides extensive coverage, featuring select groups and holes starting 08:15 ET on weekdays and 11:00 ET on Saturday and Sunday

The field is stacked with golf’s biggest names. Scottie Scheffler, currently ranked No. 1 in the world, will be teeing it up alongside Ireland’s Rory McIlroy, who arrives in Houston riding high after his recent victory at The Players Championship.

In fact, McIlroy is making his Houston Open debut this week. Other contenders include defending champion Stephan Jaeger, along with Tony Finau, Wyndham Clark, Jason Day, Sahith Theegala, and Min Woo Lee.

Memorial Park, a par-70 stretching 7,475 yards, received a major facelift in 2019, with course architect Tom Doak leading the renovations and Brooks Koepka consulting.

The design focuses on shot-making and precision, with minimal rough but strategically placed bunkers and complex greens that demand a smart approach. It’s become one of the more fan-friendly layouts on Tour, offering close-up action in a city-center setting.

In terms of payout, the event boasts a $9.5 million purse, with the winner taking home $1.71 million and 500 FedExCup points-a critical boost for players eyeing the playoffs later this season.
