Terry Bradshaw, Pittsburgh Steelers legend, got angry and ripped into Aaron Rodgers, who still hasn’t responded

The Aaron Rodgers saga has already started to wear thin on everyone involved with the Pittsburgh Steelers franchise: staff, coaches, players, and many others. But perhaps it’s a mistake that the team’s own management will end up paying for, after they went all-in on him.

That’s not to say everything has fallen apart-if Rodgers signs tomorrow, everyone will be happy-but all this noise has been exhausting for the Pittsburgh Steelers franchise. Right now, the starting quarterback would be Mason Rudolph, with rookie Will Howard and Skylar Thompson as backups. None of them were with the Steelers last season.

The fact is, in order to compete next season-and that’s not even guaranteed-the Steelers must be led by Aaron Rodgers, because in the AFC North they face Joe Burrow’s Bengals and Lamar Jackson’s Ravens, two teams that are Super Bowl contenders in the AFC.

Terry Bradshaw is fed up with Aaron Rodgers

The Pittsburgh Steelers are without a doubt a historic franchise, and Terry Bradshaw won four Super Bowl titles with the team. He’s clearly a respected voice when it comes to what happens with the team, and he’s been closely following everything involving Aaron Rodgers-and now he’s had enough.

“That’s a joke,” Bradshaw said on radio station 103.7 The Buzz in Little Rock. “That, to me, is a joke. What are you gonna do? Bring him in for one year? Are you kidding?… That guy needs to stay in California. Go out there, chew on bark, and whisper to the gods out there.”

The former Steelers quarterback believes Kenny Pickett should’ve been given more opportunities. Pickett was the Steelers’ first-round pick in 2022 and now belongs to the Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh’s divisional rival.

“I liked Kenny Pickett,” Bradshaw said. “I liked him at Pitt. I know him, I know what he’s like. And when they brought him to Pittsburgh, here’s what they didn’t do: they didn’t protect him… they didn’t get him an offensive line. They wanted to run the ball, but they didn’t have an O-line that could protect, and they didn’t have weapons. He had no notable receivers.”

Now, Pittsburgh is in a very difficult situation. Mason Rudolph has experience with the Steelers, but he’s not the answer if they want to compete this season-and if it’s not Aaron Rodgers, there’s practically no quality left in free agency.
