Terence Crawford warned by world champion of taking fight against boxer even more dangerous than Canelo Alvarez

We’re now over two months removed from Terence Crawford‘s stunning win over Canelo Alvarez. “Bud” dominated the Mexican superstar, cementing his legacy and making history as an undisputed world champion in three different weight classes. At 38 years old, there isn’t anything else Crawford needs to do to prove any points.

Crawford could retire now and he would be a mainstay in “Greatest of All-Time” debates. But Bud seems to want more, as he hasn’t shown any signs of retiring. Despite that, he’s taking his time before making a decision on his future. Rumors have surfaced regarding his next move, with the ideas of a move down in weight or staying at 168 both good options. But as he nears 40 years old, it makes sense for Crawford to try to capture belts in another weight class.

Timothy Bradley says Terence Crawford should avoid Janibek Alimkhanuly

After all, Crawford is in this for legacy. Becoming the first undisputed champion in four weight classes would surely qualify as legendary. But former world champion Timothy Bradley has come out to warn Crawford about going after a big fish in the middleweight division. Bradley wants Bud to avoid Janibek Alimkhanuly.

Janibek ain’t no joke. Oh, no. That is a tough fight for Terence Crawford… I’m here to tell you – speed, power, size, defence, offence, footwork, angle. Dude is cold, man. He’s a damn killer. If Crawford goes down and faces that dude, his legacy [could be tainted].

Alimkhanuly is 17-0 and has won 10 of his last 11 fights by stoppage. He’s currently the WBO and IBF middleweight champion. He’s scheduled to fight Erislandy Lara for the unified titles on December 6. Crawford could come after, but maybe not if Bud takes Bradley’s advice.
