One of the most anticipated boxing matches in recent times will be Terence Crawford against Canelo Alvarez. This fight is scheduled for September 13 in Las Vegas, Nevada, generating great excitement and will be a fight for which Crawford has prepared with unthinkable routines and dynamics.

While the heavy favorite for this fight is Canelo Alvarez, Crawford is more than convinced to show what he has and make a big splash to take the victory. The 37-year-old boxer is preparing in the best possible way and even takes certain examples from boxing figures in the past.

Crawford takes Marvin Hagler as a reference, a historic former boxer who was known for isolating himself before his fights and even meditating and training like a monk. Although Terence Crawford is not doing the same practices, he has revealed certain striking aspects of his training for the fight against Canelo.

Terence Crawford’s training

Discipline, laser focus and passion for the sport are part of the 37-year-old boxer’s basic concepts to maintain his routine, prepare in the best way and become a recognized boxer. Through his Instagram account, Crawford revealed part of his training, where his movements stood out to the rhythm of ‘Back Like That’ by Ghostface Killah playing in the background.

Hitting and dodging with diagonally placed ropes were part of Crawford’s training and did not leave anyone indifferent. The boxer knows that to beat Canelo you have to give more than 100% and therefore does not leave any detail of his training to chance.

Terence Crawford: who is he?

Terence Crawford, Canelo Alvarez’s next opponent, is an American boxer currently considered one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world. His achievements include being a super lightweight and welterweight champion. His personal record is 41 wins, 31 of them by knockout.

Terence made his debut in 2008 at super lightweight and his debut was a knockout victory against Brain Cummings. His first title was at lightweight against Ricky Burns. “Bud”, as he was nicknamed in his childhood, climbed quickly in boxing and in 2024 he was in the super welterweight, where he competed at 154 pounds.

With great enthusiasm, Crawford has continued to make waves in boxing and the fight against Canelo Alvarez will be a very important moment in his career, so he is preparing to live up to the occasion and put on a good show in Las Vegas
