Tennis player Kamil Majchrzak brings justice: He finds Brock, the boy whose cap was stolen by a CEO at the US Open, and gives him unforgettable gifts

Kamil Majchrzak ensured a young supporter named Brock experienced a moment he will never forget after a troubling incident at the 2025 US Open captured global attention involving the Polish tennis player.

Majchrzak, currently ranked seventh in the ATP standings, produced one of the tournament’s early surprises by defeating Russia’s Karen Khachanov in a demanding second-round match.

Yet his victory was quickly overshadowed by controversy when a simple act of generosity turned into a viral moment of shame as a grown adult man stole from a child.

Following his win, Majchrzak approached fans near the stands, removing his cap with the intent of giving it to a boy waiting excitedly courtside but before the boy could receive the gift, an adult spectator reached over, seized the hat, and placed it into a bag carried by the woman accompanying him.

The moment, caught on video, spread widely across social media and sparked outrage at what many called an act of selfishness and eventually got back to the player himself, who admitted he had not realized what had happened in real time.

Determined to correct the injustice, he took to Instagram to appeal for help in locating the child.

“After the game, I didn’t register that my hat didn’t reach the boy,” Majchrzak wrote. “I have enough, so I’m ready for that.

“Hello guys, could you help me find the child from my party? If it’s you (or your parents see this), please send me a direct message.”

Within days, the boy, identified as Brock, was found and Majchrzak later shared a video on his Instagram stories where he reunited with the young fan as he gave him a better experience than he could have anticipated.

“Today, after warming up, I had a great meeting. Do you recognize him?” he wrote alongside a clip of himself and Brock smiling together. He added warmly: “Hello world, together with Brock we wish you a great day.”

The tennis star went further than simply returning the gift. In collaboration with his sponsor Asics, Majchrzak provided Brock with additional memorabilia, ensuring the young supporter received more than just a replacement cap.

It was a gesture that resonated far beyond the tournament, demonstrating a commitment to fairness and respect for fans and special moments when athletes personally connect with fans, especially children.

A simple autograph or piece of apparel can represent a lifelong memory and, in this case, the viral incident and Majchrzak’s swift response highlighted the importance of integrity in professional sport.
