A new debate erupts after a new episode of “New Heights” featuring brothers Jason Kelce of the Philadelphia Eagles and Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs.
In this May 14 episode, the talk turned to the 1993 movie “The Sandlot,” in which its lead actress is Wendy Peffercorn. There, she plays the lifeguard idolized by Squints, played by Chauncey Leopardi.
“Very overrated, by the way, isn’t it?” asked Jason to his brother. Travis was quick to contradict him, declaring “she was so hot!”.
Jason countered his younger brother’s statements by saying, “I think she was just hot because she was the only woman at maturity they show the entire friggin’ movie besides the mom. If you’re comparing her to the catcher, yeah, of course she’s gonna be hot” argued the former Philadelphia Eagles.
However, Travis did not give up and assured his brother that when he sees her he will think: “Alright, she was hot”.
The actress was etched in viewers’ retinas in her iconic scene where she is seen sporting a red swimsuit, white sunglasses, a high ponytail with her blonde hair in a ponytail and red lipstick. Remind you of anyone?

Fans were quick to mention the resemblance between Wendy Peffercorn in that scene and her current girlfriend, Taylor Swift. The pop artist not only had a penchant for white sunglasses during her youth, especially during the filming of 1989, but also for red lipstick, something she still wears to this day.
In fact, in several of her compositions she mentions this particular detail, even in the lyrics of her song “Style“, dedicated to the singer and ex boyfriend of Taylor, Harry Styles: “I got that red lip classic thing that you like”, sings Tay.
